The Executive MBA Program is a degree program approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and the only legal EMBA degree program in the provinces of Jiangsu, Anhui, and Zhejiang. The EMBA Education Center administers the program. The Center now has 3 EMBA programs: a domestic program ? the EMBA Program at Nanjing University, and two international joint programs ? Nanjing University ? the University of Missouri EMBA Program and the Nanjing University ? Maastricht School of Business EMBA Program.

In order to accommodate the demand for senior managers generated by the reform and opening of China, since its establishment in 2002, the EMBA Education Center has exerted the cross-discipline advantage in economics and management, incorporated the local management practice in China, and designed its characteristic curricula system. Based on its strong faculty and the professors from internationally first-class business schools, the Center is oriented to the well-educated and experienced executives from enterprises and public institutions, governments, and other professions. It is devoted to cultivate entrepreneurs and senior executives who have excellent international strategic view and the ability of overall decision-making and leadership.

The Center now has 322 participants at school and altogether 930 participants have graduated. The participants are mainly from mainland China, the Hong Kong SAR, the Macao SAR, Taiwan, and Singapore. They actively appear in governments and enterprises all over the world. The average age of the participants are 39 and over 70% of them are chairman of directors or general managers, forming a unique EMBA alumni network. They have contributed to the continuous prosperity of Chinese coastal areas and the whole society and to the globalization of Chinese enterprises and the localization of international enterprises.
