Electronic Business Dept.
Established in 2001, the Department of Electronic Business possesses a professional laboratory of electronic business. The department has 7 faculty members, including 3 associate professors and 4 lecturers and teaching assistants, and offers a bachelor program in electronic business and a master program in electronic business and management information system.
The department’s fundamental aim has been to train professionals who are capable of applying electronic business in practice. With the combination of laboratory, theories, and practice, the department has transformed its professional laboratory into an open platform for students to show their talents and capabilities. Its purpose is to cultivate highly qualified complex talents who have a solid foundation in modern business theories and can apply the basic principles of electronic business and information technologies in electronic business management and research.
In recent years, the department has undertaken many projects on management consulting for large and medium-sized enterprises and electronic business system development, successively published a lot of textbooks on electronic business, and won the First Prize of the Excellence Teaching Achievement Award of Jiangsu Province and the Second Prize of the National Excellent Teaching Achievement in 2005.
