Marketing Dept.
The Department of Marketing was established in 2003, growing out of the specialty of marketing in the Department of Business Administration. It has 2 professors, 8 associate professors, and 1 lecturer. Among them, 5 have doctoral degrees. The department offers a bachelor program in marketing as well as the master and doctoral programs in enterprise management (with the direction of marketing).
The department aims at training advanced managerial talents who have a good knowledge of management theories on marketing and are capable of analyzing market and solving marketing problems. They are expected to engage in marketing management in enterprises, public service units, and other relative fields.
Most of the graduates from the department work in multinational corporations, banks, insurance companies, consulting companies, foreign trade companies, media entities, services or manufacturing enterprises, and governmental agencies. Some engage in teaching and research in marketing.
The Marketing Research and Consulting Center of Nanjing University and the Center for Direct Sale Research of Nanjing University are affiliated to the department. The department possesses a modern laboratory and provides diagnostic, consulting and training services for domestic and foreign famous companies. Together with several domestic organizations, the department has set up a practice base and has exchanged and cooperated with domestic and foreign well-known universities and academic institutions.
