Dean's Message
Nanjing University is located in one of China's most famous cities, Nanjing, capital in the modern era until 1949, and in six dynasties prior to that. Founded more than a century ago, Nanjing University has a rich historical and cultural heritage.
Established in 1988, The School of Business, Nanjing University is committed to the mission of creating new business knowledge, developing students¡¯ talents and contributing to the future society. Since its inception, NUBS faculty and staff of the NUBS have worked in a dedicated way to be innovative and productive. We are proud of our achievements in specialty discipline construction, talent cultivation, scientific research, social services, and international exchange.
"Internationalization and openness" are key words for NUBS achievements in faculty recruitment, textbook development, scientific research, and talent training. Our solid foundation in internationalization comes after years of dedicated effort.
In NUBS, the twin disciplines of Economics and Management share resources, and this enhances the parallel development of both disciplines. In curriculum development, our watchword has been to create elite courses that serve the social and economic development of China.
We constantly strive to build a better and more excellent faculty team. We put particular emphasis on the encouragement of young faculty members to study abroad, on their research projects, and the development of cases studies.
We possess a well-equipped modern office building, a cooperative atmosphere, and complementary specialties and knowledge structures. Our academic team is composed of both junior and senior professors, the younger being the driving force. We sincerely welcome those who are devoted to teaching and research in economics and management to join us.
NUBS owes its development to the contributions of many - domestic and overseas alumni, constant support from governments at different levels, from business enterprises, fellow universities, schools, and academic research institutes, to the sincerity and dedication of all the faculty, students, and staff formerly and currently associated with the NUBS. On behalf of the faculty and students, I express my gratitude to all the leaders, friends, and alumni who have devoted themselves to building and developing NUBS. Our joint efforts, I am certain, will allow NUBS to succeed, meeting and exceeding our expectations, and fostering a splendid future!
